The price of sugar increased by Rs 50 per kg in the last one week. After the increase in the price of sugar, the price of a 50 kg sack has gone down from 9 thousand taj.

Due to increase in the price of sugar, sugar has become scarce in most utility stores and citizens are forced to buy sugar at high prices due to non-availability of sugar.

Most of the shopkeepers in Quetta city have run out of sugar and sugar is being sold at the retail rate of Rs 220 per kg.
