WhatsApp Stop Working
Millions of smartphone users will not be able to use WhatsApp from New Years’ first day i.e. Friday, January 1, 2021, onward because their smartphones will no longer remain compatible with this app. WhatsApp has announced recently that it is withdrawing support from some old smartphones which are currently compatible with the messaging app.
While some users of older devices will still be able to use WhatsApp by updating their software. Dropping support for older devices is not something new but is a regular exercise for WhatsApp. The messaging app is dropping support for iPhones that are running software older than iOS9.
Android phone users have not been spared either, they have also bad news as well. WhatsApp will no longer work on android phones running android 4.0.3 or older versions of the operating system.

Check iPhone Software Version:
Go to Settings > General > Information (Here you can find information about the software version on your iPhone smartphone
Check Android Software Version:
Go to Settings > About Phone (Here you can see which android version is running on your phone)

People who are using an older version of software on their phones can back up their chats before January 1, 2021, to avoid loss of important data on WhatsApp messenger. We recommend users of WhatsApp use the latest software version of Android or iOS.
