Pakistan Super League (PSL) official Twitter handle revealed the pick order on Wednesday. Islamabad United who was the two-time winners will have the 1^st round pick of the Platinum category followed by Multan Sultans in the HBL PSL 2023 Players Draft. Lahore Qalandars Finalist of 2023 will be third in line for selection whereas the 4^th pick goes champions of 2017 Peshawar Zalmi.

The 5^th and 6^th pick will be made by champions of the 2023 edition Quetta Gladiators and the reigning champions Karachi Kings respectively.

The pick order for the first round of the HBL PSL 2023 Player Draft was decided after a random draw in the presence of representatives of all six franchises at the PCB headquarters in Lahore. The other 17 rounds were decided through a special statistical tool.

PSL Draft 2023 Date

According to the Pakistan cricket report, the CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Waseem Khan said that the draft would be held at the end of January next year whereas the tournament is likely to be staged at the end of February 2023.

“We are looking to start from February 20^th to March 21^st and these are the tentative dates just like the last season,” Khan said in the report.

“We have informed the franchises and they are aware of these dates.” He added.
